Author's attitude to British people
Heather Mallick in the article speaks to Brits in an ironic way. Already in the first paragraph she uses three past participles to highlight the fact that the weather in London is not unusual or worth so much attention in comparison to Toronto. Later she quotes slightly changed, famous speech of Winston Churchill to show Brits how hilarious their problem seems to be. What's more after 5th paragraph Mallik clearly makes fun of the British stereotypes and things that we associate with UK like red buses which are supposed to ''crush any snow at its path''. Actually, the whole article is full of irony because the author is playing a game with readers who should get some distance on it.

Designer from India determined to make a difference
The country of India is a heart of clothing materials market and fast-fashion. Millions of people work there as a weavers and over 4 milion are employed in a handlooming section. However, many of them are forced to migrate from home villages to slums and live in very bad conditions due to the fact that their workplaces are located in the big city landscapes. Fortunately there are designers who want to change that, like for example 37 years old Rahul Mishra who explored the idea of ''reverse migration'' and said: "Now we have more than 80 per cent of hand-embroidery production in small village centres we created by reverse-migrating slum dwellers. Migrant embroiderers are now reunited with their families and enjoy good working conditions".
It is definitely a major step in Indian environment but I still can't stand the fact that 50 milion kids under age of 14 go to work. It might not be directly connected to this article but somehow it was the first thing which occurred to me. The aspect of fashion, employment and the way workers are treated in India is alarming. I don't understand how can we possibly think about going on 'fun shopping experience' while most of the items are made by poor children who work illegally just to survive. We are the ones who drive growth in this problem, in fast fashion as well. We no longer should buy everything with a label "new" or "50%off" because it's not. It's not a new collection, it's not cheaper. It's the same thing we could have bought a few months ago and the prize is changing on daily basis that's why there are sales every other week. What's more Indian weavers are forced to work faster, longer and still for a salary of less than a $1. That is insane. I'll stop myself here because it crossed the word limit a long time ago :(
This article is about more aspects but it's too much info for one post

Egyptian discovery or business?
For past few years Egyptian ministry has been trying to improve their tourism sector as it had been falling apart since 2011 (due to political turmoil and extremist attacks). They decided to invest in archaeological exploration because the tourism income is mostly based on it. The ministry plan turns out to be successful, they recently found two tombs in the city of Luxor that date back to the 18th dynasty of pharaohs King Amenhotep II and King Thutmose IV (about 3,500 years). The question is whether it will bring the tourist again to the country?
I think it's normal that a country is doing their best to develop as much as it's possible especially when Egypt's economy is based on tourism but I don't really subscribe to the idea of searching for ancient treasures only to boost the income. These finds are a part of cultural heritage, a part of history. Sometimes a smaller discovery can completely change the way we used to perceive the past. Maybe it's not so extreme this time but who knows, it can happen any time.

"Think reality TV is mindless entertainment? What about the news?"
A writer Oliver Burkeman is answering a question that concerns the issue of mindless entertainment which can be for example watching TV or surprisingly listening to news podcasts. He mentions an essay by Sirena Berman who claims that our mind needs a distraction which might be different for everyone. What matters is the way this activity is influencing our life. Some people will actually find intellectual activity as meaningless as watching a 7-season series at one day, because in both cases the brain is trying to relax from the all day mode of focusing, thinking and processing information.
I actually had thought about this topic a few times before, but I've never considered intellectual activities as meaningless as playing silly games. I think it also depends on how much attention we pay to certain activities, If we don't focus on something and do it just to have it done then I guess it's a waste of time (if it doesn't give us any entertainment or joy, of course).

Ambitious Project of UAE
The United Arab Emirates want to develop its high-tech and science sectors as the times of oil domination are coming to an end. Because of that, they plan on growing food on Mars, more specifically: Phoenix Dactylifera also known as a date palm which can survive hard dry conditions without much water and nutrients in the soil. Rashid Al Zaabi, senior strategic planner at the UAE Space Agency says "There are similarities between Mars and the desert" and that the date palm was chosen for its symbolic links with the region. Now, the country not only will send a probe in 2020 on a Mars with a partnership of Japan but also do its best to make agriculture intentions come true.
It looks like UAE can either count on their only source of money which is oil or invest in extraterrestrial projects like this one. Their situation though is rather bad in this case. As soon as the oil finishes Emirates will have to come up with a new source of income which won't be easy in a desert. Globalisation is currently at its highest level but the truth is their country attracts either the tourists for a few days trip or oil traders. The idea of planting trees on Mars might become one of the greatest achievements in the history but is it even possible? I think they actually risk A LOT of money, energy and time. However, I wish them all the best.

Combining shopping time with artistic experience
Famed manufacturer of luxury goods: Hèrmes of Paris opened an exhibition in Grand Palais museum on 8th of November. Leïla Menchari is the creator of eight window displays which show high-end products against incredible backgrounds. Her works of art are not for sale and the whole exhibition is free. Each window presents a different story, environment or culture. Also, a very original perspective that is encouraging us to think out of the box. As we delight in the imaginary world of arts, our mind is no longer focused on the price of the product but certainly on its look and the way it makes us feel, which might be crucial especially when it comes to Hèrmes's price point.
For me, it's a wonderful combination! I actually do enjoy shopping (unlike my mum, sister or even friends) and of course, I love art. In addition, these masterpieces can't be purchased what makes them even more special, I think. However, lower quality products from brands for example owned by Inditex, shouldn't participate in this idea. Art is a high-level sphere where polyester and stolen ideas from authentic designers don't belong. It's only my opinion but we shall not forget that the Hèrmes exhibition is free and we don't have to spend thousands of euros to see it.
Here are some pictures:

60 years of change
Technological development has changed our lives in many ways. Probably one of the most crucial and noticeable aspect that is different now than 60 years ago is communication. Professor of classics at Cambridge University Mary Beard says back in the day when there were no mobile phones, people had to put a lot of effort to for example arrange a meeting. Nowadays with smartphones we can easily keep in touch with anyone at anytime which makes life more convenient. However, by connecting with one another throughout text messages, email etc. we lose ability to make efficient conversations, we tend to lie, what's more, sometimes we can't really notice the actual intentions behind someones' text.
I honestly think it's horrible, I can't stand watching people who are habitually on their phones. The worst thing about it is that they stop talking with others face to face. The great example: 90% of my friends. Many times school breaks are just 10 min of silence, because no one starts a conversation, and when actually someone does, one or two people are listening...in a group of 6. It's not even the main problem! The "quality'' of these conversations is non existing, meaningless, pointless. Why? Because all we normally do is send memes, shortcuts of words, gifs and funny videos. I understand that not everybody want to talk about world hunger or topics like that, but funny photos? Is that everything an educated person is able to say? I also believe smartphones are the reason why people are more shy and afraid to say what they really feel or think. When they're behind the phone or computer screen nobody looks into their eyes, nobody is judging them. In addition I want to mention that this problem of "discommunication" is getting bigger and bigger which is at least for me is a heartbreaking piece of news.
I'm sorry if it's a bit chaotic or too long. This topic is something that bothers me a lot and I just can't fit my thoughts in this short post.

A. Einstein's "Theory of Happiness" worth $1.56....Million!
In 1922 while Albert Einstein was on a lecture tour in Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, a boybell appeared in front of him to announce that the physicist had won a Nobel Prize. Einstein was about to give the man a tip but he found out his pockets were empty. Instead of money Einstein decided to share with a boybell a theory of happiness which was: “A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness”. He wrote it one a first piece of hotel stationery and the second one said: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Recently, at the house auction in Jerusalem, Albrert's Einstein handwritten note was sold for $1.56 Million (the second one for $200k)! The seller Meni Chadad said they expected to sell the items for $8k at best, but it changed at the speed of light as the prize reached six-digit number.
The value of Einstein's words seems to be priceless however, thanks to the Internet we don't have to pay $1.5m to learn this theory of happines. I agree with physicist's idea, especially with the second one - the only thing that is limiting our capabilities is our mind. I think it's completely true and works in both ways, we can either stop ourselves from achieving something or motivate to do it.
Also, the story behind the auction in Israel is very interesting, which probably overstated the price of the notes.

All zoos should be closed
Author Philip Hoare puts a thesis in which he claims that all zoos should be closed. He argues it by saying that we as humans need to give animals a freedom wich they have in their natural habitats, what's more, discovering these beautiful animals in zoos is worthless because very often we go there when we're too young to be even allowed to see for example tigers (and other dangerous animals). In addition, shutting down zoos will stop and prevent deaths of almost 500 spiecies per 4 years.
When I went to the zoo it was a great experience, I saw many animals which I have explored only in books. Yes, I was a young person and mainly I remember elephants pushing each other from left to right (which, by the way was funny). But honestly, I think we shouldn't close zoos, we must change the way we treat those animals, we should give them more space and make them feel like they're not living in captivity - rather in a place where they don't have to fight for their food.
The sad truth about mankind is that we have great ideas but we don't really pay attention to the process of their realization. In results we pay to see animals that live in terrible conditions, then die. Eventually we want to shut down these places. To me it doesn't make any sense.

Colour Red
Why red coulour is so special? First of all, when we look at different colours our brain reacts in a certain way. When we see red, each and every one of us associates it with different things, but there are few that are pretty common for everyone. For example: love, power, anger, desire or Santa. The last one is masterminded by Coca Cola. The ilustrator Huddon Sundblom had created it in 1931 and later as the company was growing up, the image of big old papa in red outfit preserved in our memory for good.
I think many companies are trying to build their images in a way that could manipulate us, just like coca cola did it. They exactly now that our heartbeat raises up and in consequences the blood pressure. That body state is very similar to excitement which is present while we fall in love or are simply very happy.
Finally, I'll be bold to say red colour is impactful or even impressive, it can persuade us to watch netflix, to buy food in target, maybe some cola? Red lipstick might be a key to higher tips in work. Would a green colour or any other one do that? I don't thik so!

Alaska's permafrost is thawing
Climate change is a serious issue that each year becomes even bigger. It mostly affects Arctic region where not only the outer parts of the ground such as glaciers are melting but most important, the always-frozen underground called permafrost. This is a problem mainly because of the vast amounts of carbon which converted by microbes can flow into the atmosphere and cause even more warming. Furthermore, scientist Max Holmes said: ''thawing has consequences locally as well as globally'' which makes it more dangerous than we might think.
I must admit, I was surprised by the fact that carbon from the lower parts of the ground can spread into the atmosphere and warm our planet up to 1.7 Fahrenheit degrees in the span of a few centuries. In addition, I already feel sorry for the Alaska's inhabitants who will probably have to leave their homes sooner or later.

They've been travelling in space for fifty six years now. It was time to wake up from hibernation and finally explore the Planet Lh-47. The ship flew through the atmosphere, monumental wind storms and cyclons. The land was closer and closer. After fourty two minutes the crew members were already taking measuremens of the ground and air. This planet seemed to be perfect.
Suddenly, they heard a voice saying ''training complete, open your eyes and get back to your lodgings''. The Planet disappeared, the ship was gone, they only saw a blinding lights and a man. He looked at them with a big smile on his face and said ''Great job everyone, this was your last training, your last world.''

Over 4 million of Kenyans are affected by the climate change which caused droughts. Because of it, the country can lose about 4% of the international income that comes from tea plantations which unfortunately are now in critical condition. Also, farmers are suffering, as they can't collect tea leaves, they won't earn enough money to for example: send their children to school.
I think it's a problem which will happen in the future many times. Natural disasters take places on and on, the problem is that Kenya is a poor country which relies on smaller transactions such as tea sale. But who am I to save Kenya's economic issues.
words:
1.rambling on = working (?)
Factory own by ''woman's name'' farm is rambling on.
2.moisture = wilgoć
The leaves are received, weight again and spread out on traps to remove moisture before processing. 3.compacity = kompatybilność
The factories are operating below compacity and it just means more losses for farmers.

''Go'' is a notoriously complex game with almost infinitive numbers of possible moves. Chinese player Ke Jie has lost two games to Google's DeepMind AlphaGo artificial intelligence.
The 19-year-old champion said he was reduced to tears, as he believed he could never be beaten by a machine. What's more, the AlphaGo has developed so much that it will probably be able to find medical cures or other major solutions which are for this moment impossible for people to create.
It's definitely an impressive progress. I'm happy to hear about achievements which will actually have an impact in the world. I hope it will make a difference for humans wealth and not the opposite. Probably none of us wants to see a scenario taken straight from a sci-fi movie.
words:

After three punishing defeats, he admitted he was wrong.
2. notoriously = word used to emphasize a quality or fact that is well known

3. to master sth = to be an adept in sth
It was impossible for a computer to master the human intuition and strategy needed for a victory.

One engineering school in Japan had 93% graduates that fielded 2600 job offers. That is because of the huge labour shortage in that country. Japan has an ageing economy, in results, they lose about 6% of their workforce every decade. What's more, the government doesn't want to hire any foreign workers. Only people from nearest countries like China or the Philippines can enter some training programs. Unfortunately, they're not treated very well. Specialist says Japan will have a serious economic problem in the future if they don't change their immigrant's policy.
At first I thought that Japan must have a brilliant education system but in reality there are simply to many workplaces to fill. I think, it's a problem that must be solved as soon as it's possible. I do understand that the government want to create a strong country without immigrants but is it possible in their economic situation? Japan should at least try to let other people into their country, I don't think Chinese and Japanese culture is as different as for example, Polish and Arabic.
words:
1. stagnation = no movement, no progress
If the economy starts to stagnate again, the government will be pushed to change their policy.
2. remarkable = impressive, significant
Japan has just released some remarkable statistics.
3. demand = I have no idea what synonym fits here :(
Why Japan had such a high demand for university graduates?

Five gay rights activists were detained in Russia for delivering a petition which referred to alleged gay torture in Chechnya. Last week president Putin backed an inquiry into reported crackdown in the caucasian region. Even though homosexuality was decriminalised in 1993 the concern of homophobia in Russia remains high. It is because of strict laws like for example, gay people are not allowed to hold their hands in public. But also the general opinion that comes from authorities, in Russia as well as in Chechnya is the reason for such dramatic circumstances.
Honestly, I'm quite not surprised by the fact that in Caucasian region people are ashamed or feel offended by homosexuals even in the 21st century. Their mindset, culture and philosophy are completely different from western. I think it might come from religion as well.
This is a very thorny subject but I believe every single human being deserves to be happy as long as is not hurting anyone else. No one should be tortured or persecuted for their orientation.
1.inquiry = request for truth, information; investigation
2.to crack down = stłumić (?)
President Putin backed an inquiry into reported crackdown.
3.sinister = bad, dramatic, serious
What is happening in Chechnya is much more sinister than in Russia.

Is Mr Keating a good teacher?
Mr Keating's way of teaching is rather unusual, unique. He's engaging students in lessons so they have an opportunity not only to learn but also enjoy the classes or at least feel like interested in discussed topics. What's more, he's shortening the distance between himself and boys, he's building a relationship as they were all good friends but with a dose of respect. He's a ''Captain'' after all. In my opinion, he deserves a trophy. He's helping boys spread their wings and see the world from an utterly new perspective. Without him, Neil would never think of becoming an actor or even undermine his father's words. I believe the teacher is not a revolutionist, but a guide.
On the other hand, the lecturer sees the world as an artist, as a poet, he idealises the reality in which everyone is doing what they love, which we know that is impossible to exist. That might be dangerous for students in the future though.

The beautiful city of Rome is unfortunately not as stunning as it used to be, all because of the pollution. The disturbing amount of rubbish is now a serious problem that affects the inhabitants in a dangerous way, they appear to have more health issues, sicknesses etc. But in fact, there is a solution. Italy is transporting the trash by trains to Austria where it will be sorted and burned at very high temperatures, producing steam which will be later converted into a power.
Honestly, this situation is not a surprise for me, the Earth pollution is a general, global problem. Italy is just one of the many countries that should make a move towards this issue. We, people, have this unpleasant habit of ''waiting until the last minute'' and then making actions. This manner will eventually lead us to a great disaster.
1. outrageous = absolutely horrible
I think it's otrageous, I think the city is being insulted.

2. disposed of = unloaded, taken off
Over 70k tonnes of roman rubbish will be disposed of this year.
3. capacity = ability to deal with sth (?) /in this topic's meaning
The Austrians don't have the capacity to deal with all the Rome's waste.

A court in South Africa rejected a ban on a domestic trade on rhinoceros which means that these animals can still be sold in the country but not abroad anymore. John Hume (South African businessman and rhino breeder) is fighting to overturn the international ban that remains in place and does little to protect endangered species. He says that there is only one way to protect rhinos and it is by selling their horns because in other way poachers will kill them.
In my opinion, the African economy is following a right direction towards better future. It's probably impossible to change the reality in one day so this step should be just a beginning of something bigger. On the other hand, I don't agree with Mr Hume. I think it is authorities duty to punish poachers not to let individuals sell over 6500 rhino horns a year. We simply must stop people who are motivated by money to lead us.
words:
1. sustainable = able to be upheld or defended
What I'm doing here is not sustainable for me, the cost is too huge.
2. fetch = bring
Every year more than a 1000 rhinos are killed for their horns which can fetch more than 90k $ a killer on the open market.
3. treaty = an international agreement concluded between States in written form and governed by international law
The international treaty prevents rhinos salary abroad.

China after many years has finally closed down 12 ivory shops and 55 factories in order to save elephants. What's crucial is the fact that China's major trade partner - Africa will no longer have a profit. In addition, Africa's authorities hope for a decrease of poaching. This is a big step not only for Asian country but also for the international illegal trades because now the risk of getting caught is higher.
As I believe in an idealistic world, the decision of Chinese government is brilliant in my opinion. On the other hand, I'm afraid that it won't stop African gangs from poaching. They'll probably find other countries that might be interested in gaining extra money. But I'm happy for elephants, though. Finally, I hope that other lands like for example India or Arabic regions will ban ivory trades for good.
words:
1. bold decision = brave and risky decision
It was a really bold decision that was taken by the Chinese government back in December to close domestic markets.
2. harvested = accumulated, collected 3. smuggled out = taken out of somewhere illegally
Today up to 70% of the nearly(<<I'm not sure if this is the right word) harvested tusks smuggled out of the Africa.

Smartify- a new app created by Anna Lowe which identifies artworks in galleries. It's supposed to recognise an image and give information and comments about particular paintings and artists. Lowe says that it will connect people with art even more and will make it easier to learn about it, what's more, we won't spend extra money on guides.
Honestly, I don't like this idea. First of all, I don't want anyone to destroy that magical atmosphere of pure beauty when I'm at the gallery, by holding their smartphones instead of admiring the artworks. Secondly, guides are there for a reason and if someone doesn't want to spend money maybe he or she should read a bit. I don't quite understand how anybody can go to see an exhibition without having any basic knowledge about it. In my pessimistic opinion, future of robots and people with phones instead of brains is coming very fast.
words:
to admire = to adore, praise in some way
e.g. I'm slightly whispering because all around me there are people admiring the artwork that covers these beautiful red walls.
to pop up = to appear instantly
e.g. It just pops up on your screen.
smirk = to smile in an affected, smug, or offensively familiar way
e.g. He has got a sort of smirk on his face.

The beautiful lands of Patagonia are becoming a network of 17 national parks. It's because of a huge donation of US billionaire Douglas Tompkins. Jimmy Langon, who writes for Patagonia journal says the region of South Chile is unique, mountainous, full of rivers, temperate forests and has been isolated from civilisation for many years. He mentioned that this a great achievement not only for Chile but also for the world.
I believe we need to make more steps towards our planet and ecosystem which we're destroying and polluting every single day. I'm very happy that there are some people who actually have ambition and material ability to make a change like for ex. Leonardo DiCaprio. On the other hand, I don't think that the biggest companies will become eco-friendly because all they care about is money.
words:
1.chunk = piece of sth.
ex. The huge chunk of the southern area, Patagonia is becoming a network of national parks.
2.wildlife = environment of animals, plants and lithosphere which are isolated from humans
ex. What sort of wildlife is there?
3.pristine = untouched (?)
ex. There aren't many places on Earth as pristine as Patagonia region.

Chinese government relaxed their ''one child'' policy almost two years ago. Now, for example, Shanghai by building nurseries in 50 workplaces encourage women to have a second baby. The ageing population which has a crucial impact on the economy is the reason for such actions. The problem is that bringing up children is very expensive in China. What's more, women are afraid that while beeing pregnant they won't be able to keep their jobs.
In my opinion, creating ''taking care'' places is a good idea, although it won't solve the fact that having more children is a pretty big investment. Maybe the authorities should think about some kind of material help programme, like in Poland. On the other hand, China's population is so big that it might not work in aspects of country's budget.
words:
1. to stave off = to prevent sth from happening
ex: The Chinese government is trying desperately to stave off the problem of ageing society.
2. to stabilise = to make sth balanced, predictable (?)
ex: It's all a part of stabilising Somalia and getting it back to a proper way.
3. frivolous = not seriously/ recklessly
ex: This probably sounds a little bit frivolously, but when you're talking about banknotes there are always questions about their design.

Late last year, British surgeon David Nott saved a little girl in Aleppo. He travelled to Syria to help people affected by the inhuman situation in that country. The child had fragmentation injury and both of her bones were sticking out, she had a very small chance of surviving. What's more, all of her family members had been killed. Fortunately, David Nott managed to save the baby and visited her two months later.
I believe that we need more people like this surgeon on our planet. He didn't care about child's nationality or about any political aspects of his actions. He did what was right, not only because of his job, he followed his heart and actually made a miracle.
words:
-gravely injured = injured very badly, seriously
The little girl was gravely injured in an attack as a family was evacuated in Aleppo.
-flashed up = appeared
Suddenly, on my iPhone flashed up some photographs of Marion. **(I'm not sure about the name)

''JULIA IS NOT DEAD''
Brand new collection for spring/summer 2017 of PAPROCKI&BRZOZOWSKI is called ''Julia is not dead''. Polish designers came up with very original and modern idea of combining such sensitive and girlish character (Shakespeare's Julia) with punk, metal, heavy vibes. It's a mix of contrasts just like in Baroque, also known as glam rock.

This new ''Julia'' is grown up, confident and provocative with see through material, leather jackets, ethereal chiffons and romantic ruffles.
Here are some outfits for comparison (from left to right) of Lanvin, Dior and Alexander McQueen. As we can see they are quite similar.

Dark edition of summer sounds a bit pessimistic, but don't worry there are many more runways to see, which include almost every colour of the rainbow.
I must admit Paprocki&Brzozowski surprised me with their invention but I'm a traditional type of person. For me, Julia will always be a synonym for the romantic scent of roses, unbelievable love from first sight and beautiful soul. However, the collection is definitely on a high fashion level.

#TBT 80's, LV AND COLOUR OF '17
In last post I showed you how 90's inspired Tommy Hilfiger.
Today I would love to present you Louis Vuitton collection for men, fall/winter 2017-18.
It takes us back to 80's (90's as well), with nappa leather, cashmere, waterproof fabric, wool with Lurex inserts and crocodile print leather.
The question is why would anyone wear it? Because of SUPREME. It's a brand established in New York in 1994. Company is rather for skaters or people who like urban street wear than for a high fashion show, but in association with LV it becomes a modern and unusual combination.
Supreme was undoubtedly the most memorable aspect of the runway and mostly concerned the accessories segment. Have a look:

What you can also see is the characteristic for times back then print on silky shirts and heavy wool-leather jackets.

Personally, it isn't my favourite collection, I'm not a big fan of LV in general, although I like some classic accessories. What I find positive is the triumph of dark blue colour called ''navy blue'. As spring for 2017 will be dominated by pastels, winter fall/winter will be flooded with deep dark shades (navy blue, brown, burgundy wine) which sounds great to me, because my coat is indigo blue :)

TOMMYxGIGI edition 2
Tommy Hilfiger created another collection with Gigi Hadid but know it's all about California.
Spring 2017 brings us summery vibes, with an old-school pieces like jeans with patches and denim jackets. Personally, I don't see here anything new despite the denim coat which looks a bit funny, also reminds me of Britney Spears..

We'll be able to see the whole creation on 8th of February in Los Angeles (location is associated with clothing theme of course).
Hilfiger decided to make rather casual women's wear in contrast to previous collection (which is in my very first post).
What's more, when I saw Gigi for the first time in this pieces, I thought about american high school girl, back from 2000s (too short for dresscode skirt, polo shirt, shaded sunglasses, patches etc). Have a look:
This tendency of taking inspirations from past years is becoming very popular, especially in men's wear section, I think I'll show you some runways in next post, because they actually have an impact on fashion nowadays, especially at the end of 2016 and now-2017.

DJ
I see the lights of night, the moon and stars.
The warm air makes me want to stay. I can't.
As thoughts are coming down, no Earth or Mars,
No shine, just people looking like rock plant.
But stop. I feel the rhythm loud and near,
I guess the party started now. And me?
I think about the track you love my dear;
Oh lovely sound it has, just like a bee.
But sadness kisses softly soul I got,
I hear a sound that lives in heart of mine,
It tries to help me fight this day a lot,
I wish the tune became glass of wine.
Although I have to play the songs for crowds,
Goodbye. I'll leave to see those gorgeous clouds.

DEBUT OF DOLCE&GABBANA
On 14th of January, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented in Milan, man fall/winter 2017-18 collection. Inspiration behind it takes us back to monarchy times, when most of the countries in the world were ruled by kings. But what makes it interesting is the combination of royal style and modern cutting, that's why it's called ''I NUOVI PRINCIPI'' which means new principles. What's more, I believe that designers wanted to announce that from now D&G is going to take over 2017 fashion world.
Pieces include mostly gold, black and colour of full-bodied wine. There are many characteristic elements such as: big buttons, royal animals (lions, cats), little crowns, words like ''king of love'', ''prince'' etc. Everything is perfectly sewn. We can already feel like we're walking through the hall in old, beautiful castle. In addition to that, I spotted something new that might be a trend of this year. It's a chain attached to both corners of shirt's collar.
I personally adore this collection, I would even say it's the best one I've ever seen and trust me I've seen a bit. It is because of gold and royal theme in combination with modern fashion (denim jackets, bomber jackets, many patches and more).
Finally, we can't forget about the king of the night: model, Cameron Dallas (known from Calvin Klein). Also everyone was enjoying the show accompanied by Austin Mahone (young pop star, kind of Bieber music mixed with hip hop/rap).
I won't lie, I'm in love with this collection.

HILARIOUS FASHION TRENDS TOP 3
Previously I talked about gold obsession which made me think about even bigger ridiculous trends in fashion which are followed by many people. Reasons why we are blinded by brands are pretty obvious I think, let's get straight into fun part.
First of all, my favourite. Clothing line designed by Kanye West called ''Yeezy Season 1", there are also seasons 2,3 and 4. Kanye isn't a designer and has no experience with fashion but he has a lot of money. Pieces created by him express his personal style, it combines faded colours, very simple cutting, what's more athletic comfort. Some critics even call it ''Homeless edition'' and here's why:

This is not all, we can't forget about the prize. Average item, like for example, distressed t-shirt costs about 2000$.... ''absurd'' might be appropriate word to describe my thoughts about it.
Second place is reserved for denim. We are well aware of the fact how ripped jeans look like. As time passed by, people wanted to make them more ''extra'' and decided to cut them in the area between bottom and thighs so they can attract attention of a few more people.
For the final, corset over a t-shirt. Corset was very popular in XVIIIth century when women wanted to highlight their waist, but it was mostly worn underneath the dress or on top but always over a fitted clothing. Today, it's associated with loose pieces, especially with oversized t-shirts and knee high boots or sneakers. This trend is coming from sunny Los Angeles, just like two previous ones.

Do you think all these trends are created by Kardashian's family by accident? No wonder why it's so popular and foolish at the same time. No offense of course! :)
