''JULIA IS NOT DEAD''
Brand new collection for spring/summer 2017 of PAPROCKI&BRZOZOWSKI is called ''Julia is not dead''. Polish designers came up with very original and modern idea of combining such sensitive and girlish character (Shakespeare's Julia) with punk, metal, heavy vibes. It's a mix of contrasts just like in Baroque, also known as glam rock.
This new ''Julia'' is grown up, confident and provocative with see through material, leather jackets, ethereal chiffons and romantic ruffles.
Here are some outfits for comparison (from left to right) of Lanvin, Dior and Alexander McQueen. As we can see they are quite similar.
Dark edition of summer sounds a bit pessimistic, but don't worry there are many more runways to see, which include almost every colour of the rainbow.
I must admit Paprocki&Brzozowski surprised me with their invention but I'm a traditional type of person. For me, Julia will always be a synonym for the romantic scent of roses, unbelievable love from first sight and beautiful soul. However, the collection is definitely on a high fashion level.
