#TBT 80's, LV AND COLOUR OF '17

  In last post I showed you how 90's inspired Tommy Hilfiger. 
Today I would love to present you Louis Vuitton collection for men, fall/winter 2017-18. 
It takes us back to 80's (90's as well), with nappa leather, cashmere, waterproof fabric, wool with Lurex inserts and crocodile print leather. 
  The question is why would anyone wear it? Because of SUPREME. It's a brand established in New York in 1994. Company is rather for skaters or people who like urban street wear than for a high fashion show, but in association with LV it becomes a modern and unusual combination. 
 Supreme was undoubtedly the most memorable aspect of the runway and mostly concerned the accessories segment. Have a look: 
 
What you can also see is the characteristic for times back then print on silky shirts and heavy wool-leather jackets.
 
  Personally, it isn't my favourite collection, I'm not a big fan of LV in general, although I like some classic accessories. What I find positive is the triumph of dark blue colour called ''navy blue'. As spring for 2017 will be dominated by pastels, winter fall/winter will be flooded with deep dark shades (navy blue, brown, burgundy wine) which sounds great to me, because my coat is indigo blue :)

TOMMYxGIGI edition 2

Tommy Hilfiger created another collection with Gigi Hadid but know it's all about California. 

Spring 2017 brings us summery vibes, with an old-school pieces like jeans with patches and denim jackets. Personally, I don't see here anything new despite the denim coat which looks a bit funny, also reminds me of Britney Spears.. 

 

We'll be able to see the whole creation on 8th of February in Los Angeles (location is associated with clothing theme of course). 

Hilfiger decided to make rather casual women's wear in contrast to previous collection (which is in my very first post).

What's more, when I saw Gigi for the first time in this pieces, I thought about american high school girl, back from 2000s (too short for dresscode skirt, polo shirt, shaded sunglasses, patches etc). Have a look:

 

This tendency of taking inspirations from past years is becoming very popular, especially in men's wear section, I think I'll show you some runways in next post, because they actually have an impact on fashion nowadays, especially at the end of 2016 and now-2017.

DEBUT OF DOLCE&GABBANA

  On 14th of January, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana presented in Milan, man fall/winter 2017-18 collection. Inspiration behind it takes us back to monarchy times, when most of the countries in the world were ruled by kings. But what makes it interesting is the combination of royal style and modern cutting, that's why it's called ''I NUOVI PRINCIPI'' which means new principles. What's more, I believe that designers wanted to announce that from now D&G is going to take over 2017 fashion world. 

  Pieces include mostly gold, black and colour of full-bodied wine. There are many characteristic elements such as: big buttons, royal animals (lions, cats), little crowns, words like ''king of love'', ''prince'' etc. Everything is perfectly sewn. We can already feel like we're walking through the hall in old, beautiful castle. In addition to that, I spotted something new that might be a trend of this year. It's a chain attached to both corners of shirt's collar. 

I personally adore this collection, I would even say it's the best one I've ever seen and trust me I've seen a bit. It is because of gold and royal theme in combination with modern fashion (denim jackets, bomber jackets, many patches and more). 

  Finally, we can't forget about the king of the night: model, Cameron Dallas (known from Calvin Klein). Also everyone was enjoying the show accompanied by Austin Mahone (young pop star, kind of Bieber music mixed with hip hop/rap). 

I won't lie, I'm in love with this collection.

HILARIOUS FASHION TRENDS TOP 3

  Previously I talked about gold obsession which made me think about even bigger ridiculous trends in fashion which are followed by many people. Reasons why we are blinded by brands are pretty obvious I think, let's get straight into fun part. 
  First of all, my favourite. Clothing line designed by Kanye West called ''Yeezy Season 1", there are also seasons 2,3 and 4. Kanye isn't a designer and has no experience with fashion but he has a lot of money. Pieces created by him express his personal style, it combines faded colours, very simple cutting, what's more athletic comfort. Some critics even call it ''Homeless edition'' and here's why: 
 
This is not all, we can't forget about the prize. Average item, like for example, distressed t-shirt costs about 2000$.... ''absurd'' might be appropriate word to describe my thoughts about it. 

  Second place is reserved for denim. We are well aware of the fact how ripped jeans look like. As time passed by, people wanted to make them more ''extra'' and decided to cut them in the area between bottom and thighs so they can attract attention of a few more people. 
 

 For the final, corset over a t-shirt. Corset was very popular in XVIIIth century when women wanted to highlight their waist, but it was mostly worn underneath the dress or on top but always over a fitted clothing. Today, it's associated with loose pieces, especially with oversized t-shirts and knee high boots or sneakers. This trend is coming from sunny Los Angeles, just like two previous ones. 

  Do you think all these trends are created by Kardashian's family by accident? No wonder why it's so popular and foolish at the same time. No offense of course! :)
