HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY GOLD CHRISTMAS

 To describe the main focus of winter 2016-17 I need only one word, Gold. The trend includes clothes as well as accessories. I would even say that this is one of the biggest tendency followed by many designers, like Loewe, Gucci, Valentino (pictures), Hilfiger, Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, D&G and more. Inventors of this idea wanted to encourage us to wear gold on daily basis, to experiment with it on many levels. In my opinion it might be not the best view.

First of all, this colour is reserved for special occasions and events, it's glamorous and luxury looking. By reducing it to the category of basic or ''everyday'' we're depriving it's unique tone and elegant shine. 
 Secondly, we will look a bit funny. Just imagine a person in a gold sparkling dress standing at the bus station, or a business man in a gold suit. It's even not about looking hilarious, because nowadays anyone can look crazy and make it a ''cool thing'', my generation doesn't seem to think too much..unfortunately. We have this problem that we don't stick to any rules, we still want everything to be lumped together. ''If silk short dress was meant to be wore in bed, let's make it a casual dress!'' My God, please, this isn't fashion, it's desperation, running out of ideas. Sometimes turning something upside down won't be a success. There are things which should stay in their place because it's a tradition, yes even fashion has a tradition. 
 Personally I love gold, it's honestly my favourite colour. But it should have this magic flare instead of being associated with a t-shirt. 
After all, I'm afraid that designers are trying to impress or surprise us too much. I absolutely understand a collection of beautiful, gold dresses for Christmas or New Years Eve but I don't get the idea of wearing gold outfit in every day. And that what's happening right now. Gold shirt's, shoes, skirts, jackets or active wear! 
  I'm a bit confused, maybe in future there won't be any rules and we will wear swimsuit for a dinner with family.. I may be overreacting but every change has a small beginning.

CLASS IS THE KEY

The star of today's show is my personal fovourite, Chanel. The collection has arrived on Tuesday at Ritz Paris. Creative director of the brand Karl Lagerfeld pleased our eyes with stunning pieces made for spring 2017. It's a throw back to Chanel's classic wear, very elegant, mostly white, with little sparkling elements and tweed fabric, simply: legendary outfit from 1961. runway (2016):

  Designer decided to prove everyone what CHANEL (created by Coco Chanel) is famous for. Métiers d'Art Show is presented annually, it's very special and important, especially for the brand. What is also interesting is the fact that this year's creations are not what we expected for 2017. Main colours which will be trending are Eden (dark, cold green), Ballerina (powder, light pink), Sequoia (brown mixed with pink), Acai (cold violet) and Emerald (blue mixed with green, Atlantic Ocean colour). So Lagerfeld didn't fllowed the river and gave us fresh old school which we love. I think it's a move that only big brands can allow themselves to do.  What's more Chanel is a great model to follow. Sometimes your biggest achievements, strong sides are better than something new or chased by everyone. Be original and stick to your own ideas! 

I recommend watching the runway or some pics as there were such individualities as Pharrell Williams, Sofia Richie, Lily-Rose-Depp or Cara Delavigne.

LETTER

Dear Minister of Justice,

I'm writing in reference of the case of Mary Maloney. I'm appealing for a possibility of granting her parole. I believe in validity of such proceeding, because Ms Maloney at the day of tragedy was pregnant which means that she was in a period of hormone instability, that had a crucial influence on the act she has done. Pregnant women are more emotional, stressed and can change their mood very quickly.  In addition to that, Mary M. received horrible news, which left her heartbroken, this situation took place in the wake of the emotions, it wasn't a fully aware murder. What's more, it's not right to deprive child from his mother, as a human being he has a right to live with family instead of being taken to orphanage. What's important is the fact that, such beautiful moments like birth of a babe often change human's way of thinking and behavior as well. Therefore I ask you Mr. Minister to show her some mercy and let her out of the prison earlier or grand her parole.

EVERY YEAR BRINGS US NEW ANGELS

  Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the most awaited fashion event of the year this time took place in Paris, with fifty two models including 18 new faces like Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk (she's pregnant but it didn't stop her from taking part in the show, which is pretty impressive). I won't review this event because it's all over the internet, but I will present some facts that may be interesting.  

1) Gigi and Bella Hadid are the first sisters to walk the runway together.

 

2) This year's Fantasy Bra costs 3 million dollars. The honor of wearing it had Angel Jasmine Tookes. It was designed by Eddie Borgo, features 450 carats of 9,000 diamonds and emeralds, also took 700 hours to make. For comparison, in 2000, Gisele Bündchen wore the Red Hot Fantasy Bra, which was the Guinness World Record holder for the most expensive piece of lingerie ever: $15 million.
 3) Tickets which were given for charity (then these organizations sold them) generated over $3 million. Just a little reminder: to get a ticket you need to be invited, it's impossible to entry the building without personalized invitation. 

4) 2016 musical guests were: Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd who is by the way one of the Angel's ex boyfriend.. what a coincidence. 

5) This year the show marks the 20th anniversary. What's more, it has grown to a global TV event that draws an audience of about 500 million people world wide in about 190 countries. 


2016 Victoria's Secret Show was definitely a success. Fortunately nothing wrong happened, what I mean by this is that there wasn't any terrorist attack which could have actually happened. French National Security was well prepared and we should be thankful.
